Obsidian and Notion are great general-purpose tools. Ambralia is specialized: it’s built for readers who want to organize book notes in a notecard style. Instead of folders and databases, you use index cards that automatically weave into a knowledge graph. And instead of manual linking, AI connects your ideas for you.
No. Ambralia works as a standalone digital system. If you already use a physical card box (à la Ryan Holiday), Ambralia is the perfect digital extension. If not, it’s an easy way to start the method.
You can ask your note collection questions — and the AI answers exclusively based on your own notes, not general internet knowledge. Every answer includes source references with book and page number. Additionally, AI suggests relevant topics when you create new notes.
Your notes belong to you. We store them encrypted on servers in Europe (Germany). Your data is not used for AI training and is not shared with third parties. You can export or delete it at any time.
We’re working on import features for Readwise, Kindle Highlights, and CSV/Markdown. At launch, you can create notes manually — Quick-Add makes it a matter of seconds.
The Free plan includes all core features: create notecards, manage books, explore the knowledge graph, and use spaced repetition. You’re limited to 5 sources, 20 notes, and 10 AI queries per day.
